I've been making soap my whole life, real soap. Hand rendered tallow, raw milk buttermilk, and lard.
Our base recipe has earned County Fair blue ribbons since 1966, when my grandmother first won for lard rendering in Southern Ohio. That Appalachian know-how came straight down the line, and we have never seen a reason to change it.
Soap made this way is different. It's built on sustainable animal fats that mirror the structure of our own skin. Folks with dryness and irritation tell us they finally feel relief, and many find they don't need moisturizer at all. If you have never used soap like this, we invite you to give it a try.

— Abbey Road, Founder" I was raised on a dairy farm in Southern Ohio with my grandparents. Everything was handmade. We rendered our own Tallow and Lard. We made buttermilk from Raw Jersey Cow Milk. We made soap. I learned it all from my grandmother..who won Blue Ribbons for her doings at the County Fair. I grew up and landed in Central Texas. Life happened for the next 30 years.
When a local Farmer asked me to make soap for his customers in February 2025, I couldn't believe it. In the past, If I ever told anyone what I used for skincare...the looks and the head scratchin commenced immediately. I made the soap for that farmer. And then another farmer and then 3 farmers. These farmers are where my raw fats and milk come from. I am so proud of the way we are able to support each other and offer great skincare products to our customers. Real Ingredients. Real Farmers.
